About Leftice

We are a surplus fabric sourcing platform with a focus on denim. We are aiming to reduce the ecological mark left by the fashion industry, by stimulating brands to use denim textiles in a responsible way for their creative production.

Our Mission

Is creating a platform where brands could buy surplus fabrics directly from the manufacturer. All with the aim of utilizing the leftover fabrics that are there due to overestimation of big fashion companies.

Why?

Our three main drivers are explained below

Beige fabric
New fabric production is hurting the planet
Textile production produces an estimated 1.2 billion tonnes of CO2 and consumes 79 billion cubic meters of fresh water annually
Denim fabric
Qualitative fabrics are discarded or incinerated
85% of textiles go into landfill each year, creating huge amounts of toxins and greenhouse gases
Denim fabric
Utilisation of the existing fabrics fights the waste problem
Through leftovers utilization we avoid the production of new fabrics

The Team

By today, Leftice consists of five UvA students, but we are rapidly growing. We all have different backgrounds, in terms of study, but also cultural: that is what makes our team so unique and successful.
